Messages sealed on your phone.

Kevi is a private messenger for the people you invite. Every message is encrypted on your device before it’s sent, so our server only ever stores scrambled text.

There’s no public sign-up. You join with an invitation from someone who’s already here.

Invitation only

There’s no public directory. People join with a one-time invitation, and only people you add can message you.

Encrypted on your device

Messages, photos and videos are sealed on your phone or browser with keys that stay there. Each of your devices gets its own copy.

More than text

Photos, videos, voice notes, voice and video calls, screen sharing, and Bible trivia with your group.

What’s protected, and what isn’t yet

Kevi is young software. Here’s exactly where it stands, so you can decide what to share.

Protected today

  • Message text, photos and videos are encrypted on your device before sending.
  • The server stores encrypted copies only.
  • A new device has to be approved from one you already use.
  • Calls are encrypted end to end by WebRTC and passed through a relay.

Not yet

  • Regular chats don’t use the Signal Protocol’s forward secrecy. Secret chats do.
  • No independent security audit has been done.
  • Not ready for highly sensitive conversations.

Your people are one message away.
